Ten Hamilton Scholars Selected for Experience New York Internship Program
Ten Hamilton Scholars have been selected to participate in the Third Annual Experience New York Internship Program.
The Experience New York Internship Program is designed to give Hamilton students a unique opportunity to live and work in New York City. This year scholars will have a chance to work for the New-York Historical Society and the National Parks Service.
"We feel fortunate this year to offer more internship positions with diverse work opportunities. We have come very far in only three short years and we are confident our ten scholars will represent Hamilton well in the Big Apple," says Joslin Boroughs, Director of Operations.
Rachel Brill, Fernando Corrales, Patrick Foster, Cody Graham and Lauren Hickey will work with the National Parks Service. Positions vary from working as a park's visitor assistant, a park tour guide, an office assistant or as a general park laborer.
Deeksha Bhat, Hedy Chen, Rachel Feldstein, Paulina Karpis and Cooper Kennard will work with the New-York Historical Society. They will have an opportunity to work on educational programming, marketing and visitor relations.
Each internship position is designed to give the Hamilton Scholars a generalized work experience. During their time in New York, the Hamilton Scholars will live in college dorms. Internship positions are paid giving students the unique opportunity to live on their own in the heart of one America's diverse and interesting cities.
